Conquest Round Four

As in previous weeks there are announcements on all the screens, "Please report to the lobby at 12 noon for assembly." If you're not there on time Santana will gather you up and unless you are new she will not be patient.

Even if you are new she probably wont be that patient. Day is once again smiling and that is good news all round really. She is stood on the podium eating a cookie that was probably from Red Day. When everyone is gathered she waits for them to fall silent.

"Well, I am glad you all took our little chat last week to heart. I am pleased to announce that Conquest is once again the winner." Proving that Day's method of headmistressing was obviously far superior to Dolorosa's. "Though a couple of you," and here America and Dirk would get headaches, nothing as bad as what she dealt out last week though, "Thought that fighting was beneath you, the rest of you did well. We had one Conquest only battle," the battle records appear on the screen. "Between Karkat Vantas and Aisha Clanclan, congratulations Karkat for winning."

"Against Fortitude we won four out of five battles, an excellent score. Showing that we are indeed the superior school, congratulations to Nephenee who beat Kamui, Sis Strider who beat Shion, Karkat Vantas who beat Shion and Aisha Clanclan who beat Shion."

She took a bite of cookie and grinned again, "Also well done to Sis for winning the round. You all fought well and I hope that you keep up the good work this next round. Keep on winning and show Fortitude that we are indeed better in every single way."

She ate some more, "I would also like to announce that two of our number became prefects this week, Flynn Scifo and Gino Weinberg, however they due to unfortunate circumstances they are both indisposed at the moment." Meaning they were both unconscious in the infirmary, it was a thing that happened sometimes, Day didn't know why.

"Now for those who will bring us to victory once again," a list of names came up on the screen behind her and she read them out.

Sis knew this was coming, her being a player again. She rubbed her temples, and a very displeased look crossed her face. This was quite a troublesome thing. As much as she loved fighting, this was not the way she wished to do it.

"Thank you for the acknowledgement." She had only won the round with the transfer really. "I will do my best again this round. I do not promise the outcome."

At her side Kotaro appeared. He hugged her in greeting and smiled holding out a pouch, containing a memory. "Here is the memory I promised you Sis!"

She patted the kid's head. "Thank you. The blood giving wasn't so bad. I was only dizzy for a short time afterwards." Sis looks down once more, she couldn't let Kotaro go without a player.

"Would you like to vow with me?"

I could start it if you like!

"It was a really nice thing to do!" He smiled at her and nodded, "If you want me! But you need to fight with me lots! Because I need to earn lots of money so I can buy everyone else their memories!"

Only if you want!

"I might be attempting to win the round by vows again." She smiled. "You get extra raks if I do, remember?"

I'll check with Lance and then make one today!

Kotaro frowned and thought for a while. "Okay! How many people do you have already?"

If he was going to be her weapon he would help her win! Because that's what friends did!

"You, and Nephenee so far. I'm speaking with a couple of others latr today." Little did she know Feferi would be asking to be a weapon too. "We'll win together, if the fight seems like something I can win with my fists."

"I am sure you will win, you're a really good fighter!" He smiled, "Uh... my weapon makes you fly! So then you can fight in the air! I will see who else wants to be your weapon!"

"You did well," Day smiled, "I am sure you will not disappoint us." Is there a threat in her voice? Surely not...

[smupette]

Sis peeked from behind her glasses at Day. There might have been a smirk on her lips, no telling what her real intention was at this time. "I fought one battle last round. Only because I had to."

[kingofpoisons]

"And yet you still won, and that's all that matters." She grinned again.

[smupette]

"I will win again." She would think she was weak otherwise. She couldn't be weak.

[kingofpoisons]

"Good, see that you do." Another smile before Day walked off. They would win, or there would be consequences. They would be the best.

Once Day had finished talking to Sis, and once she was finished talking with Suzaku, Feferi walked over to the older girl. "Miss Strider? I'm Feferi. The one you talked with last week."

She extended a hand and smiled. "I'd like to be your Weapon this round. We share a lot of thoughts on this place, and I think we'd make a good team, if you'll let me."

"I remember, you and I spoke last week. I would be honored if you will be my weapon this week. When vowed you will have all of your rights." Now for the most important question. "What is your weapon?"

She couldn't properly train if she didn't know what the weapon was.

"Thank you," she answered, smiling. "My weapon is a trident. Think of it as a three-pronged spear, though you can use one end to defend and the other to attack. I can show you a few things, sometime, if you want. I've trained with it since I was little."

[smupette]

She placed her hand within Feferi's, and shook. This was already a done deal- she was going to vow with Feferi. "We can make this work, you will have all of your rights for the week, and we can meet up to train."

She wonders. "Is this best to use in water?" Because we can make a water filled area happen, right?

"We can definitely make this work," Feferi answered, with a bright smile. "And nope! It works just as well out of the water as in it. One of the advantages is that you're able to catch the other person's weapon in the prongs. You'd block with one side and then attack with the other. No need for water at all."
