Conquest Round Four
As in previous weeks there are announcements on all the screens, "Please report to the lobby at 12 noon for assembly." If you're not there on time Santana will gather you up and unless you are new she will not be patient.
Even if you are new she probably wont be that patient. Day is once again smiling and that is good news all round really. She is stood on the podium eating a cookie that was probably from Red Day. When everyone is gathered she waits for them to fall silent.
"Well, I am glad you all took our little chat last week to heart. I am pleased to announce that Conquest is once again the winner." Proving that Day's method of headmistressing was obviously far superior to Dolorosa's. "Though a couple of you," and here America and Dirk would get headaches, nothing as bad as what she dealt out last week though, "Thought that fighting was beneath you, the rest of you did well. We had one Conquest only battle," the battle records appear on the screen. "Between Karkat Vantas and Aisha Clanclan, congratulations Karkat for winning."
"Against Fortitude we won four out of five battles, an excellent score. Showing that we are indeed the superior school, congratulations to Nephenee who beat Kamui, Sis Strider who beat Shion, Karkat Vantas who beat Shion and Aisha Clanclan who beat Shion."
She took a bite of cookie and grinned again, "Also well done to Sis for winning the round. You all fought well and I hope that you keep up the good work this next round. Keep on winning and show Fortitude that we are indeed better in every single way."
She ate some more, "I would also like to announce that two of our number became prefects this week, Flynn Scifo and Gino Weinberg, however they due to unfortunate circumstances they are both indisposed at the moment." Meaning they were both unconscious in the infirmary, it was a thing that happened sometimes, Day didn't know why.
"Now for those who will bring us to victory once again," a list of names came up on the screen behind her and she read them out.

And Jen's shattered along with it ;;
She managed to nod, at least, at the next part. "The last thing I want to do is wreck that friendship. They're precious things. But I don't wish Lelouch any ill will, and please tell him that. If I was better at chess, I'd go and challenge him, but I'm not nearly as good as the friend I used to play with."
The troll shook her head. "Don't say that. You care too much about everyone for that not to be true. There's nothing to apologize for. I promise."
She paused for a moment. "If you need me for anything at all, don't hesitate. Okay? I'll have your back."
I can't handle this sadness ;;
"There is... I... I deceived you Feferi and I didn't mean to... I..."
He hoped that she found a good player, one who truly did share her goals and that she could find a peaceful way to get them all out of here, changing it from the inside.
It was a naive goal, but he still admired her for it, the fact she could stick to it and hadn't failed like he had.
"Don't worry about me... Just... I hope you have a good round Feferi..."

She paused for a moment, blinking. Deceived? She'd never seen that. She didn't think it possible. "I don't...we all have things about us we don't like. I - I was expected to hate everyone who wasn't a seadwelling troll. Some of them even wanted to murder all of them. I'm not proud of coming from that background."
Feferi managed a soft smile. "Friends will worry regardless, Suzaku. I'm not going to stop worrying or being a friend just because there are things in the background you're not proud of."

"But you didn't, even though you were surrounded by people who expected you to be violent and hateful you didn't give in to them. You are stronger than I am..."
He looked away again, "You really shouldn't worry, I'm sorry."
