After tournament party

Location: Battle Arena
Summary: On Saturday afternoon after the train arrives there is a festival and a presentation of the tournament winners!
Warnings:

Saturday was sunny if a little cold but once again the battle arena was bursting with people. Unlike in the week though everyone was out on the arena field itself, stalls had been set up for games or silly competitions. More tents and stalls sold foods, some which might be familiar to those living in the schools and some that would not be.

At one end there was a stage set up where the six staff members sat, people mingled, ate and discussed the tournament until Dunleavy finally stood to address the crowd.

"I hope that everyone enjoyed the tournament. Today is to celebrate and to reward the winners. Everyone did very well, so please show your appreciation to all those that participated Players and Weapons both."

The townspeople cheered and clapped waving flags of the two schools. "All our winners are from Conquest so congratulations to Conquest for the victory." More cheering; on the stage Day looked smug but proud as well, proud of her students.

Once all the prizes had been given out the stage cleared and a small band entered. Dunleavy wished goodbye to the other staff members before retreating to her mansion. It was unfair to Dolorosa and Recette to expect them to watch her when they should be having fun and it really wasn't a celebration without music.

[He takes one of the boots and slips. It doesn't go very far at all...]

Aye, I guess you are that.

[She frowns back] Surely she is mostly harmless, she hadn't killed anyone. [Yet... but that's more than can be said for Fortitude's head prefect...]

Oh... don't worry you've still got nine more goes! [He throws his and it goes about a meter, he grins proudly though before he came here he would have been able to throw further.]

[Ein's next throw goes about a meter and a half; as he releases the boot he shouts a little.]

"At home, ladies fight in wars all the time. Two of the four people still alive are girls. They're cool."

She smiles at him, the slight obviously forgiven. "It's okay. I know worlds are really different."

[greenspaces]

"It's very fun! We should have lots of parties here. We can celebrate people's birthdays, and no one would be sad at a party."

Merlin didn't think anything of the fact Arthur was assuming they were sharing Raks, it made sense. Arthur was better with money than Merlin anyways.

"I know who you are," he countered, "a total prat." Under his breath.

And what are you naturally like?

She knows how to influence the others though, even if she has not killed them personally.

"Conquest," Arthur says proudly. The name Conquest suits him far more than Fortitude does, "And yourself?"

[unflinchable]

Arthur takes a small step back, "There are only four people left alive where you're from? That's horrible! What happened?" he pauses for a second, "Forgive me, I'm sure it was difficult, you do not need to speak if it will cause you distress."

"I'm in Conquest, too. I guess we'll be seeing each other a lot."

[unflinchable]

Can Merlin even do maths? Arthur isn't even sure. He knows that Merlin can read so he must be learned to some degree.

He gapes at Merlin, "You still cannot speak to me like that! We may not be in Camelot any more, but I am still your king," his tone is stern yet playful. It's good to know that Merlin is comfortable enough to insult the king again.

"I look forward to it," he has a challenging glint in his eyes, "Perhaps we can battle one day."

[ecthelion]

"I think I'd like that."

[greenspaces]

"The world ended, it's not a big deal. I knew it was going to happen a long time before it did." She doesn't seem bothered by at at all; no remorse or regret on her face.

Yay! You did really well!

[He takes the next boot and throws it, it skids along the ground landing next to Ein's.]

"We should! I bet if we ask around there will be people with birthday's coming up, and then we can celebrate!" Since they were stuck here, they might as well have some fun.

[Boot number 3 lands just a little bit past the second one, then slides about a third of a meter.]

[greenspaces]

"Do you really think people would like that? If we threw them parties?" She looks positively overjoyed by this. Making people happy is one of the things that pleases her the most. "And we could make them cake!"

"I am sure they would!" He said with a grin, "And everyone likes cake right? Or pie, we could make birthday pie as well!"

True, she can be... manipulative at times... [Trying to be polite]

[What kind of question is that Santana, she rolls her eyes] A shield.

"I only speak the truth." Merlin grinned, though he stopped there, he didn't want to push the king, since he wasn't as sure as he had been.

"I haven't been to the shop yet, do you know where it is?"
