After tournament party

Location: Battle Arena
Summary: On Saturday afternoon after the train arrives there is a festival and a presentation of the tournament winners!
Warnings:

Saturday was sunny if a little cold but once again the battle arena was bursting with people. Unlike in the week though everyone was out on the arena field itself, stalls had been set up for games or silly competitions. More tents and stalls sold foods, some which might be familiar to those living in the schools and some that would not be.

At one end there was a stage set up where the six staff members sat, people mingled, ate and discussed the tournament until Dunleavy finally stood to address the crowd.

"I hope that everyone enjoyed the tournament. Today is to celebrate and to reward the winners. Everyone did very well, so please show your appreciation to all those that participated Players and Weapons both."

The townspeople cheered and clapped waving flags of the two schools. "All our winners are from Conquest so congratulations to Conquest for the victory." More cheering; on the stage Day looked smug but proud as well, proud of her students.

Once all the prizes had been given out the stage cleared and a small band entered. Dunleavy wished goodbye to the other staff members before retreating to her mansion. It was unfair to Dolorosa and Recette to expect them to watch her when they should be having fun and it really wasn't a celebration without music.

Third Place

"In third place I would like to welcome to the stage Arthur Pendragon!" The crowd cheered as Dunleavy handed him the trophy. "You will also have noticed you got some extra raks, as coming in third place meant you won the round." She told him with a smile.

Second Place

"In second place is Duzell, please come to the stage." More clapping and cheering, he had been a crowds favorite by the end, though there was some good natured grumbling from those townspeople who had bet on him winning. She handed him a trophy as well and a pouch containing a memory charm.

First Place

"And now for the winner of our tournament, Stellaluna." The crowd went wild, the novelty of having a tiny bat win the tournament in her first week in Rakuen City had pleased them all, even the ones who had bet on Duzell. Dunleavy put a trophy infront of her and the memory charm. She then brought on a cage, in which was a small; one foot high which was still much larger than Stellaluna herself, version of the Yellow Wyrm.

[Both before and after the prize giving; before she retreats for the night Dunleavy is stood by the stage smiling and greeting those that pass her.]

After the ceremony

[Santana is at the booth that's playing music and singing her heart out to the music. It's been so long since she let her voice out like this and it's so liberating]

[Surprised your Prefect is so talented?]

Arthur feels like he should be mingling. This started as a formal(ish) occasion and he was comfortable enough throughout it, it was almost like being at home. But it then changed into something more festive and he wasn't confined to to his seat like he would be in Camelot.

So it was time to mingle, he turns to the next person and says, "Hello," please enjoy speaking with the King in full armor (well, minus the helmet).

[Hanging in the back and away from the main festivities, Yuri's enjoying a drink and watching both the ceremony and the after-party with only mildly interested eyes. For a while he contemplates following Dunleavy out of the party but that thought is quickly dismissed with a reminder of what happens to people found trespassing on her lawn.

Still, that's almost more appealing than his current situation. Yuri has never been much of a social events kind of guy and the only reason he's here is because of a stupid beret on his head.

At the very least Conquest won. As much as he hates losing (even though he didn't really lose this round) he's okay with it in these circumstances because that means he doesn't have to worry about his friends in the other school. He didn't miss Day's proud look but he doesn't get caught up on the hows or whys. Whatever her motivations, it doesn't change what she's done.

Shion was trying some pizza, he had never had it before though he had seen others eating it. It was delicious though, he stood watching the music marveling at both the music and the food, so different than anything he had experienced before.

[Ein walked in late and missed the awards ceremony.]

[As a result, he's just going around trying anything that intrigues him. Which is a lot of things.]

[Many of which cost money. Someone stop him before he runs out and has to fight like mad.]
