Location: Rakuen Public Library's media viewing room
Summary: Dirk shows off some 21st century cinematic masterpieces.
Warnings: Horrible movies. Swearing from Striders. The usual.

The time has come. Seven o'clock on the dot and Dirk is standing at the front of the viewing room in the city library to one side of the screen which is currently tuned to static, remote control in one of his hands.

There's plenty of room for everyone who shows up. The accommodations are a bit more classroom-like than he'd have liked -- tables and chairs for everyone to sit at -- but scattered about are some snacks and drinks he's scavenged from the Fortitude cafeteria.

Sit down. Watch these films. There are ten of them, and Dirk can go all night.

"D-Don't worry, n-no movie is this bad. I-I'll show you some classics s-some time!" Because while he was actually sort of actually enjoying how terrible this was, it was also a little painful, and he really hoped that this was not Shion's first movie.

"Classics?" Shion smiled at Alex, "I think they are good, but I've never seen any movies before. I don't really understand it though."

Alex laughs a bit, "D-don't worry, I d-don't think I do either. It's j-just a bad movie. W-wait 'till you s-see Ghostbusters!"

"Is it really bad?" He looked back at the screen, it seemed good if a little confusing, "What's Ghostbusters?"

"Only one of the g-greatest silly movies ever! It's a-at least easier ta understand than this. D-doesn' hurt the eyes as m-much either!" Alex really did want to say that the movie was just a horrible piece of crap, but Dirk seemed so sure that it was a brilliant movie that Alex was afraid to argue that point. Instead he'll just talk about Ghostbusters.

It sounded great, since the only things wrong with these movies, as far as Shion could see, was the eye hurting and the fact he couldn't understand what was going on. "Do you think they have it here?"

[afraid_of_my_shadow]

"C-could probably buy it. Maybe I'll pick up a c-copy of these too. I c-can't imagine them c-costing too much." He just would never expect them to be negative raks. At least Recette would get some profit from Ghostbusters.

"It would be fun to watch, there were no movies in my world... not like this, only educational films, and they aren't that interesting."

Well they were, Shion found them fascinating but he didn't think they were the kind of things to share with friends, unless Alex really liked plants.

"D-depends what those a-are on. I l-like ones studying how animals work, so l-long as they're humane. Rats are r-really interesting, and s-studied a lot f-for neurology." He found most of them on youtube, "B-but I also l-like videos of rats j-just being cute."

Shion smiled, "I like rats too, and mice. And dogs any animals really. I haven't heard of rats being studied for their brains though... at least not in No. 6."

[afraid_of_my_shadow]

"They study all s-sorts of animals f-for lots of things in m-my world," his smile faded though, "n-not always humanely...." Watching humane studies about how animals think and learn was interesting, but there was always the chance he found one that just reminded him too much of the studies that were done on him.

"Oh... That's not nice of them..." He frowned, "They shouldn't hurt animals, even if they are testing things..."
