Movovie Night
Characters: EveryoneThe time has come. Seven o'clock on the dot and Dirk is standing at the front of the viewing room in the city library to one side of the screen which is currently tuned to static, remote control in one of his hands.
Format: Whichever you prefer
This log is: open
Location: Rakuen Public Library's media viewing room
Summary: Dirk shows off some 21st century cinematic masterpieces.
Warnings: Horrible movies. Swearing from Striders. The usual.
There's plenty of room for everyone who shows up. The accommodations are a bit more classroom-like than he'd have liked -- tables and chairs for everyone to sit at -- but scattered about are some snacks and drinks he's scavenged from the Fortitude cafeteria.
Sit down. Watch these films. There are ten of them, and Dirk can go all night.

were swapping stories ok
i kind of freaked while following down from a high rise apartment when an impeding meteor was coming my way
was kind of embarrassing tbh

My world could use a few meteors hitting a few high rises.
Legit reason to freak though.

even if theres people you think deserve it
it kind of sucks as a whole

Really, my whole world could use a reset. It's pretty much one big hellhole. Remember learning about the 1800's in school? With kids working in mines, or sewing places? Basically, if you were poor, there's like, no way out and you're going to get sick and die early.
It's like that, but no work. Oh, and while most major illnesses are curable, if you're poor, there's no way you can afford it, or if you do, the next several generations will be in debt, if they don't all get tossed on the street.
Life for the 99%.
And that's if you're lucky, and not one of the kids in the CRP.

maybe its bad
hell it sounds like shit
but you dont really know what would happen if you decided to just jumpstart this shit
like if youre even going to exist if the world got restarted
or the sacrifices people would have to make to do so
and sometimes it doesnt actually reset like how you wanted it too
its likely it can be worst than what you already have

Your world restarted?
I didn't even think of that as a possibility.

we were fighting a game we already lost
but its not exactly something you can just decide
theres a lot to consider
[Even if his circumstances were slightly different. But Dave doesn't even know what type of world or new session they're entering, other than it's pretty much fucked without his group arriving.</small.]

If you know you lost, why do you keep fighting?

but we didnt know what would happen
there were a lot of reasons why there wasnt much else we could do anyways
it was like trying to thrive in a world that was already dead or was going to die
[A game that destroyed the entire world and left only four kids on their own with all their guardians dead. He doesn't even remember the fact that Rose and him willingly killed themselves in what they thought would help for the sake of the session.]
this is probably easier to read than the <code>

[Dave's view of completely doomed is skewed. Meteors were literally destroying their Battleground and their options were down to either Scratching or not Scratching. But he thinks that unless you're given the hand he and his friends were given, you probably have a better chance.]

but im not really the type of guy whos going to sit here feeling bad
[But he's not willing to explain himself either. SBURB is something he doesn't care to tell others about in detail. But learning that most sessions are born to be doomed, it's kind of annoying to know that their session was doomed from the start and nothing they did would have changed it.
And they're still heading to another session that maybe they could win. It wasn't even a session they were promised to win. They were just promised a chance.
Maybe he's gotten apathetic.]

But I will also do what I have to.
