Meet and Greet [intro #1]

As you all crowd onto the platform with your bizarre mix of faces, expressions, clothing and wild theories, you are met by two girls. Both are in uniforms that would match if not for the colour differences - skirt, waistcoat, and a light summer shirt that seems totally inappropriate for the thin layer of snow coating the station platform. Both have a beret with a crest - one's shows a sword, the other's a shield.

At the first lull in the chatter, the taller girl, her uniform red and white, speaks out over the crowd.

"Hey, losers!"

She explains, in short, irritated sentences, that they're prefects, representing the two schools in Rakuen. Santana, Conquest, she says, gesturing to herself with a smile that would be smug if she didn't look so annoyed to be out here. Nanami here is Fortitude, she adds, pointing to the pale girl half-leaning on her other arm. The girl nods.

"We're here to get you sorted and back to campus. If you wanna ask stupid questions, do it on the way. It's freezing out here."

The girl introduced as Nanami interrupts. "When we say your name, please move quickly and quietly to us."

"Yeah, then we can go back to the dorms."

They separate, moving to stand several metres apart, and both pull a list from their waistcoat pocket. Alternating, they start to read out your names.

[Fortitude, huh? Well, even if she calls his name, he's going to hang back and wait to see what kind of people show up because some of these guys have the weirdest names.]

"I'm Becca," admits the slender girl, stepping forward. She's surprised to be called first, but whatever. "What's going on?" She didn't want to leave Lithuania alone, but there was obviously some sort of plan for them. Best to split up.

"You have been enrolled in Fortitude," Nanami says. "I suppose you won't remember for a little while, your journey was rather long..."

[hugling]

[Teddy reluctantly walks over.]

Hi. I'm Teddy, I guess.

[effortless]

Ah, welcome. Did you have a good journey? [ the way she asks it makes it sound like she was taught to say that by rote, rather than any particular desire to know. ]

FORTITUDE

Shion had been trying to stay calm and not panic despite the fact he was definitely not in No. 6 nor the West Town, Rat was not here, not even a robot mouse that he could see...

Now a frail looking girl was calling his name.

"I'm Shion," he smiles politely, because really it was probably not her fault that he was here or that he had no idea where here was.

She nodded, and crossed his name off with a neat slash of her pen. If he didn't have any questions, that was fine.

[traces]

[ She hesitates before stepping forward, nervously wringing her hands together. ]

I-I'm Dahlia...

[ She'd been planning to change her name after jumping off that bridge, but it seemed they already knew it. She'd play along for now, until she could figure out what was going on. ]

[effortless]

[ her name is marked after a cursory glance. Either Nanami hasn't noticed anything wrong with Dahlia's nervousness, or she doesn't care. ]

I see. How was your journey?

[drawsdeath]

[Dahlia is so elegant and pretty... Becca is immediately jealous, but part of her wants to befriend the girl just to be close to her. She waits for her to finish talking with their prefect, then steps forward.]

Hi, Dahlia, I'm Becca.

[He's extremely tense right now; no one has been answering any questions at all. Even so, his name has been called. It would do to follow along with this little game, if only for now. A girl several years younger than him calls his name in the middle of a list -- alphabetized, he notices -- and he approaches her, looking down with his best restrained-death glare.]

...Saïx.

[ It wasn't very effective...

She smiles up at him, a cold and absent expression, and crosses his name off with a nod. ]

Our astronomy teacher. I never particularly cared about the stars, but I suppose I should visit a lesson or two, for politeness's sake.

This is so stupid.

I'm Roxie.

( Madoka will quietly walk over, glancing back as she does... she really does want to be separated from Homura right now. Nevertheless, she glances forward and shyly raises a hand. )

Hi, I'm Madoka.

[Ukraine is surprised when his name is called. He had been chatting to Estonia before she was called to the other group and was left standing by himself.

He made his way over and stood awkwardly, towering over the other people around him. Standing at close to 6'6" he looked down on most people and this was no exception. Listening to the others chat around him he played with the fringe of his scarf, wondering what was coming next.]

Hello, I em Ukraine.

( One of the memories Spain lost was the knowledge of his nation name. He does, however, remember his human name- Antonio Fernandez-Carriedo. Unfortunately, he isn't called by his human name but his nation name so he keeps waiting to hear 'Antonio' to be called.

Heeey! [ Gamzee grins and slides over when he hears his name, grinning a mouth full of shark teeth. He knows vaguely he should be concerned about all this, and he probably will worry more later, but for now he's calm and quite unconcerned. He's pretty damn interested by all the pink, soft looking, hornless people, though. He supposes in turn they might find him weird. ] I'm Gamzee, chica.

At the mention of his name, he steps forward, hand raised. He nods lightly and then shrugs. What the hell was he supposed to do? Maybe he should just get a name tag that says 'HEY! My name is Dave.' but that was too much work and he frankly had no interest to get too friendly until he knew more about this place.

[It's a long, boring list of names she has to listen to before hers is called. But she notices other trolls called before her, whether it was the other girl calling them or this one. There's also a lot of humans here, and only one that she recognizes. And it happens to be the one she doesn't give a shit about. She waves her hand flippantly when she's called and steps forward.]

You look like you're in charge. Of something, anyway. I don't really care. As long as you can answer my questions.

[Scott remembers college being sort of a dismal time in his life. Having been assigned to another dorm at some other school? Yeah, Scott's totally thrilled about this.

He'll be looking over the other names, seeing which ones stick out as girls' names.. Then he'll of course see if he recognizes any of them.]
