On the platform: New characters and old ones that want to come and meet them!

As you all crowd onto the platform with your new and still bizarre mix of faces, expressions, clothing and wild theories, you are met by two girls. Both are in uniforms that would match if not for the colour differences - skirts, waistcoats, and light summer shirts that seem totally inappropriate for the thin layer of snow and ice coating the station platform. Both have a beret with a crest - one shows a sword, the other a shield.

At the first lull in the chatter, the shorter girl speaks up, her soft voice somehow cutting over you.

"Excuse me,"

She explains, in precise, quiet sentences, that they're prefects, representing the two schools in Rakuen. Nanami of Fortitude, she says, placing a hand on her own collarbone, and Santana of Conquest, here pointing to the taller girl she's leaning against. The girl nods, looking fairly bored.

"We will be sorting you now. When we say your name, please move quickly and quietly to whoever called you."

"Yeah," Santana interrupts, "Then we can go back to the dorms. It's not getting any warmer however many times they make us do this."

They separate, moving to stand several metres apart, and both pull a list from their waistcoat pocket. Alternating, they start to read out your names.

[Koharu watches from the edge of the platform, clad in the school's uniform, but her hair is pulled back with the clips and ribbons from her magical girl outfit]

...Sora? Yuki? [She suddenly is paying a lot more attention, picking out the red hair and hoping Yuki kept an eye on her.]

[Lithuania, when he'd heard another train, had of course gone to the platform to observe. Now he's lingering around the edges, looking small and shy in Conquest colors, but still perking up and watching anyone else who's going to end up in his school. Not that he ignores the Fortitude newcomers, either; anyone who's interesting gets looked over.]

Upon hearing her name, she flies over to Santana, and hovers at about eye level. "I'm Tear," she says in a very businesslike tone. For now, she was going along with this. Later on she'd find out what was really going on. She didn't want to look like one of those fairies, anyway.

[ Oh, that was her name. Jade wasn't entirely sure what she was supposed to do, but stepping forward seemed to be a good option. The snow was making her bare feet cold, and the ragged shirt she was wearing did nothing to protect her from the chilly temperatures, either.

She stepped forward, rubbing her arms to keep warm. ]

That's my name... [ Her voice trails off. ] Do you, um. Do you have any shoes?

[Dave is in the school uniform shivering quite a bit and scowling a little. He rather be back in the dorms right now. His tolerance with the cold was jack shit, and being out here was fucking terrible. Still, the hopes that someone he recognized outweighed staying warm. They could just quickly move to the dorms after anyways.

He looked around at all the new faces, hoping to see a familiar one. He didn't pay attention to the names being called. He couldn't remember the names of his friends. Dave had to rely on his friends faces.]

America enthusiastically bounded over to where he was called. This entire situation was completely new to him, and he figured it would be nice to have some sort of a guide. Plus it may actually help him learn some new faces too! "Hey there, I'm America!" He said in a loud and energetic voice.

[ She doesn't remember what her friends look like. So it stands to reason that the malnourished, shoeless girl walking past him doesn't even know who he is. But Dave might recognize her -- the buckteeth and glasses, a ragged shirt with an atom symbol on it.

She stops to yawn. God, she's so tired and lost. ]

[He freezes up for just a second. She looks...terrible. But he knows that face. That hair. The shirt. He doesn't take another second of staring before he goes after her. Dave is typing into his PDA before he stops short; hesitating before grabbing her wrist gently.

He wasn't sure why she walked by him without acknowledging him. Did he look different? Was he someone that wasn't in her life? Maybe in different universes or timelines, Dave Strider wasn't a part of her life. That thought was a little scary.]

[Have a small child tugging at your sleeve] Miss. I am Kotaro. [He didn't know what was going on and he was starting to get scared.] Do you know where my brother is?

[greenspaces]

[ She turns around and her face is one that lacks comprehension -- who is this person? Why is he grabbing her wrist? She doesn't recognize what he looks like, but she does recognize the sunglasses -- maybe it's just a boy thing. ]

My best friend got sunglasses for his birthday.

-- Koharu! [ have a confused and weirdly-dressed Sora waving at you! ]

[He hesitates for a moment before holding up his PDA to her.]

name???

[What was it? Why couldn't he remember what her name was? It was so dumb. Seeing her face but not even knowing a name to put it to.

But she said her best friend...huh. When was his birthday anyways? Not important.]

Santana just stares at her, "You fly, lovely," She looks her up and down, "What the hell are you anyway?"

Meet your prefect, she's obviously the nicest person here.

[straightupzorra]

She sneers at him, "The fuck you are, you can be American but to be named America is just really retarded. You have to have another name so I can at least pretend that you're a sane person."

[straightupzorra]

[she crosses his name off the list]

What's your brother's name?

[Kotaro was starting to get really scared. He was off the train now but his brother still wasn't here, and he knew he couldn't stay in the sun very long. He see's a boy who looks close to his age and goes to stand near him. If he stays in one place his brother will be able to find him quicker.]

[also have a normally oddly dressed Yuki waving at you too. Personally Yuki hopes that Koharu knows what Sora is talking about with this whole singing performance thing]

Koharu! You're here too!

Erm... [He didn't know why he couldn't remember it...] I don't know... but his family name is Mochizuki same as mine... and some people call him the Silver Blade, or Kin Killer.

[Oh, it's someone his size! Lithuania brightens a bit.]

Hi. You just got here on the train?

[The train, incidentally, is still fascinating to him.]

[ She's a little lost in thought right now, forgive her. Her bloody fingers reach out to touch the screen of the PDA, because she knows that red. That's Dave's red -- with the courier font and the sassy, condescending question marks. This had to be Dave in person, or an impostor. But she knew that she had seen pictures of him before; why couldn't she remember what he looked like? ]

His name's Dave. And he types in the same red that you do. [ Those fingers reach up to smudge his sunglasses. ] But my name is Jade Harley.

Are you my best friend?

[knightime]

[He lets the PDA drop, not even caring if it gets damaged by the snow or something. Dave had grabbed Jade's hands, looking over them. There's a grimace on his face and he almost forgets she even asked him a question. He nods a little before moving to pick up his PDA again. He put her name in the same note as he put John's name.

...But he didn't know how to go from here. Think, damn it. Well, she definitely needed to get out of the snow more then he did. That's a given. And she needed food. He might take her to the shop after they went to the dorms perhaps...

Dave gave her a glance over to see the state she was in more clearly. Her clothes, her physicality...her lack of certain accessories.]

Quite. "I'm a fairy. And a debt collector for--" who did she work for again? "I work in an item shop now."

While he didn't look very put off by her attitude, his smile did shrink just a tad. And then it was back in full force, he's had to deal with worse people with even more horrindous attitudes after all. Nodding his head as yes and making his smile just a tad bit wider. "Yep! It's Alfred F. Jones!"
