On the platform: New characters and old ones that want to come and meet them!

As you all crowd onto the platform with your new and still bizarre mix of faces, expressions, clothing and wild theories, you are met by two girls. Both are in uniforms that would match if not for the colour differences - skirts, waistcoats, and light summer shirts that seem totally inappropriate for the thin layer of snow and ice coating the station platform. Both have a beret with a crest - one shows a sword, the other a shield.

At the first lull in the chatter, the shorter girl speaks up, her soft voice somehow cutting over you.

"Excuse me,"

She explains, in precise, quiet sentences, that they're prefects, representing the two schools in Rakuen. Nanami of Fortitude, she says, placing a hand on her own collarbone, and Santana of Conquest, here pointing to the taller girl she's leaning against. The girl nods, looking fairly bored.

"We will be sorting you now. When we say your name, please move quickly and quietly to whoever called you."

"Yeah," Santana interrupts, "Then we can go back to the dorms. It's not getting any warmer however many times they make us do this."

They separate, moving to stand several metres apart, and both pull a list from their waistcoat pocket. Alternating, they start to read out your names.

Is she really trying to tell the land and spirit of freedom to do as she says? She would be better off telling a tree to talk to a squirrel.

And those insults? "Haha! Of course I'm not fat kiddo!" Finally, someone who understands that he isn't overweight! If anything his smile gets even brighter and warmer thanks to her comments!

Well guess what, she's the boss here. Sort of. She's only a Prefect but the Headmistress lets her do whatever she wants. That tree better get to talking.

"Are you kidding? Have you looked at yourself lately? You're like a balloon. No, no, let me guess, you have one of those fun house mirrors that make you look really skinny. And I guess for you really skinny would be about normal sized."

She really doesn't like him.

And yet he can't really find it in himself to care much. So long as she doesn't try attack him then the two of them will be kosher in his own opinion.

"Don't be silly! Of course I don't have any of those mirrors!" But at her next attempt at trying to lower his self-esteem all she gets is him blinking and patting his body. "Do I? But I could have sworn those diets were working!" And now he began pouting a bit. "I guess those guys were lying then when they told me about it. Oh well."

She couldn't stand that he was just laughing off everything she said to him, "You're just, really stupid, aren't you?" If people thought Brittany was stupid they obviously haven't met this kid right here.

He stared at her for a second before laughing again. "Nope! Besides it's your time of the month, isn't it!" He actually was not mocking her at the moment. And it was a genuine question, one that he was certain she wouldn't get mad at him for.

Oh my god, he did not just ask her that. He didn't. This proves it, he is touched in the head, "You can' just say that to people! And no, I'm not. I'm naturally this bitchy but if you want to get on my bad side that much I can come back when I am to bitch you out some more."

"Oh, so ya always have an attitude problem!" He acts a bit surprised and clueless now. No, no he is still not put off by her attitude. And is instead starting laugh at her, again. It seemed that almost nothing to get him down~!

"I hate you already," She crosses her arms and looks him up and down, "Can you at least fight? Because seriously, if you're going to piss me off and be a piss poor fighter, you might as well go to Fortitude."

What a silly person she is. "Of course I can! I'm the hero after all!" And what kind of hero/nation would he be if he couldn't fight? The answer? Not a very good one. Not a very good one at all.
