Who wants to learn about Government?

Characters: America and anyone
Format: Prose but will follow you
This log is: open
Location: America's classroom
Summary: Congratulations are in order good sir or ma'am! You are currently taking government class with 'Merica! :D
Warnings: None that I can think outside of possible, political views.

It was yet another day of classes again as America walked into the room. Humming happily as he did so before taking a look at his "class". It warmed his heart to see so many people taking an interest in American....okay not just American, it's just government. But still, how could you talk about government without talking about American government! The answer is that you most certain can not! In fact it would almost be a complete atrocity to do so. Well an atrocity in his way of thinking. Not that such things mattered here, he was here to teach them about how different governments were ran after all. So that was exactly what the nation would do.

"Okay dudes! Today we're gonna look at how communism, like the Soviets-" Assholes. "-had! And why it sucked and didn't work!" Of course that wasn't going to be the only thing they would be looking at. But it was a good start, right?>Just what could go wrong?

This is what could go wrong: you could have the fanciest French fuck to have ever graced the planet waltzing into your classroom like he owns the place.

And then pausing. And looking around. "Aaah, perhaps I am in the wrong room?" said France. His eyes flicked over to America, lips pulling at the corners as he came to the conclusion that yes, this was indeed Amérique. Not some strange girl version of him that he was unfamiliar with, though, not that he was complaining!

"I am looking for the philosophy classroom, perhaps you would be so kind as to help me, mon ami?" asked France. It was pretty clear he was delighted to see the young nation, though he wouldn't be so quick to admit to it aloud.

"What is communism? It sounds like it'd just mean living in a commune," Lemina speaks up from where she's sitting.

Lemina tilts her head in confusion. "Wow, that sounds mega uncool."

[Yuki attentively takes notes during class, this is one of the few classes that could actually help further her education, if America takes it seriously enough that is.]
isur2ndprincess: (oh!)

[personal profile] isur2ndprincess 2012-03-07 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[she flips through her notes]

Wait, did we talk about Fascism yet?
isur2ndprincess: (oh!)

Feferi's interest in human society meant she was going to every class that taught history or government. So she'd been taking attentive notes.

She flipped through the textbook, skimming the section, then raised her hand. "I have a question. I understand that the leaders of Communist countries oppressed freedom of speech and religion, and that's a bad thing. But is there a reason why the idea of everyone getting things according to need and contributing as much as possible is intrinsically bad?"

Why was this man allowed to teach? Suzaku frowned as he read through the textbook, largely ignoring what America was saying. The man was nice enough but he confused Suzaku and his lessons were strange.

But... he didn't understand this system, they had nothing like it where he came from, it sounded so strange...

He raised his hand, "Who were the Soviets?"

"So they were an empire?" Communist? Socialist? He doesn't understand these words! This book on governments was difficult as well, since the world it is speaking about it very different than Suzaku's own.

Yes it was. When you had nothing to go from. "You said they wanted to make everyone like them... was this by invading others?"

He wondered if he could skip this class in future, but then again, he felt like this about most his classes.
swordofzero: (guys are you even listening?)

[personal profile] swordofzero 2012-03-12 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"But they don't invade others?" That... didn't sound too bad, after all influence could be ignored.

"So they where an empire?" Suzaku blinked. If they were an empire and were invading others then Suzaku agreed that they should be stopped.

frozenmemories: (Eh?)

[She shrugs]

Kinda but with all those big words you keep saying, I don't get it!
