On the platform: Meet the new characters!
As you all crowd onto the platform and peer through the thick fog that chills the air, you are met by four girls and five boys. One of the girls is a somewhat humanoid grey-skinned, finned alien, but the rest all seem human. All nine are in uniforms that would match if not for the colour differences - skirts and trousers, waistcoats, and light summer shirts that seem totally inappropriate for the dense fog. They're all sodden and cold, and most are irritable. Each has a beret with a crest pinned to the front - three depicting a shield on green, the other six a sword on red.
At the first lull in the chatter, one sickly-pale, shield-crested girl speaks up, cutting through your conversations with her cold, soft voice.
"Attention, please."
She explains that the nine of them are the current prefects of Rakuen, representing the two schools on the island. Nanami, she points to herself, Yuri and Lelouch of Fortitude; and Santana, Flynn, Feferi, Gino, Nephenee and Kevin of Conquest. She doesn't care to explain why the prefects in red and white outnumber those in green and black two to one.
Santana interrupts, "Yeah, yeah. Look, come over when your name is called so we can all get inside." They all move to stand in two groups some distance away from each other, and the two that spoke read off names from their clipboards.

huh
no
ive never been able to talk or anything
its just something ive lived with since i could remember
and probably before i could remember jack shit
but lalonde is blind
she said she normally could see
so its possible to forget things like that
why?
does it bother you that i cant speak???
no subject
Rose is here? [ You've caught her attention. And she's.. blind? ]
No, I'm not bothered by it, simply surprised. I have forgotten some things that I must have had knowledge of prior to arriving, and I wondered if this was a result of the same force.
no subject
were kind of split up between the two schools
but yeah
i guess she forgot how to see
i dont know how thats even possible but apparently it is
this place continues to make jackshit in terms of sense
okay the whole
we just forgot a bunch of crap stuff
thats not permanent
you can buy your memories back
well i mean someone can buy your memories back
but seriously its as easy as giving them the money and buying it
and just handing it to you
[He's always curious as to what everyone forgets. He mostly thinks what he forgot are mostly mundane and stupid at the very least.]
no subject
How much is usually forgotten? [ She can only think of one particular thing. She is glad she still seems to have all five senses. And her fussing ability
and propensityseem to be intact. ]You have to purchase memories? Can't someone simply tell you what you've forgotten?
no subject
but the town is neutral ground
it varies
people seem to forget important things to really mundane things
like
you cant breathe underwater
you forgot the faces of your friend
or their names
but weve lost a couple each
[Dave has only retrieved one memory back since he's arrived, and he doesn't know what he's forgotten for the most part. He doesn't seem all too invested in getting them back.]
you forget what theyve told you
i couldnt remember my friends names
and whenever someone told me
id forget it
so you have to get these stupid charms to get them back
[He holds up his wrist, where a bracelet with a single charm is hooked to it.]
no subject
[ She doesn't want to have to fight Rose. ]
That seems as unfortunate as it is amusing.
[ A small smile. ]
I can't help but wonder what purpose there is to taking away such memories.
no subject
someone already died because of it
i mean they came back
but still sucks
[And it's kind of sad since they're on an island.]
i think its just a thing that happens
since some of the staff here has had the same problems before
no subject
Yes, The Dolorosa recently informed me about the quasi-permanent death system in place here.
How curious.
no subject
whats with the adult troll???
i wasnt expecting to see any ever
i mean im not expecting you to know either but i thought it was worth asking
[Asking you seemed logical since you and the Dolorosa kind of had a resemblance.]
no subject
She seems to be from a different time altogether, though the resemblance is such that I entertained, for a brief spell of time, the thought that she may be, in some shape or form, an alternate version of myself.
But in short, I'm not really sure.
no subject
the whole ecotbiobullshit???
god i fucking hate this game
and the fact that enough of this has happened that it its even plausible
[Trolls don't have parents, or he would have thought Dolorosa was her mom. The whole alternate version thing seems more plausible.]
