On the platform: Meet the new characters!

As you all crowd onto the platform and peer through the thick fog that chills the air, you are met by four girls and five boys. One of the girls is a somewhat humanoid grey-skinned, finned alien, but the rest all seem human. All nine are in uniforms that would match if not for the colour differences - skirts and trousers, waistcoats, and light summer shirts that seem totally inappropriate for the dense fog. They're all sodden and cold, and most are irritable. Each has a beret with a crest pinned to the front - three depicting a shield on green, the other six a sword on red.

At the first lull in the chatter, one sickly-pale, shield-crested girl speaks up, cutting through your conversations with her cold, soft voice.

"Attention, please."

She explains that the nine of them are the current prefects of Rakuen, representing the two schools on the island. Nanami, she points to herself, Yuri and Lelouch of Fortitude; and Santana, Flynn, Feferi, Gino, Nephenee and Kevin of Conquest. She doesn't care to explain why the prefects in red and white outnumber those in green and black two to one.

Santana interrupts, "Yeah, yeah. Look, come over when your name is called so we can all get inside." They all move to stand in two groups some distance away from each other, and the two that spoke read off names from their clipboards.

[Louis waddles over, somewhat slowly. His slate is kind of messed up and dusty, similarly to one of his wings, due to the fact that he forgot he could use water to clean it. However, he's already written a new question on it.]

What is a prefect?

A prefect is a perfected Weapon, of course. And because we have achieved that distinction, we are granted authority and responsibilities... Such as this one.

[mutesician]

[That only raises more questions! He writes them down, of course.]

What do you mean by "weapon"? And what kind of responsibilities?

If you will kindly read the manual when you reach your room, your questions will be answered.

[ sorry Louis, she's a terrible prefect ]

[mutesician]

[He nods. Hey, he doesn't know what prefects are actually meant to do! Oh, but yes, another question.]

Who will take me to my room?

[The only accommodations he's used to are hotels!]

[effortless]

I will, when we have finished sorting you all.

[mutesician]

[He just nods at that. That answer is satisfactory!]

[knifehands]

was this a joke? he was an actual student?? ]

You're fortitude as well, I see.

[Teacher, technically!]

[He nods at her. Yay, the nice girl is in the same place as him! They can be buddies!]

[ nice girl, it was a title that didn't suit her a bit

she leaned over towards the feathered creature, stroking him again. this was possibly going to become a ritual every time she seen him ]

[mutesician]

[Hey, she's nice to him. He hasn't seen her interact that much with others yet. And yay, more stroking. He just leans into her hand again. He really needs to get more people to pet him like this.]

[knifehands]

[ its because she didn't feel a threat by him ]

Which dorm is yours?

[mutesician]

[He doesn't know that! To him, she's just a nice, sweet girl. Who gives good head-pats. :3 Unfortunately, he can't really answer that next question.]
