Conquest Class | The Most Difficult Class
Characters: Prussia and anyoneBefore Class
Format: Open (action or prose, I'll respond to whichever you use)
This log is: open
Location: Conquest classroom
Summary: Prussia attempts to teach about military strategies, all the while, she can't remember the names of her fellow German nations.
Warnings: "enthusiastic" teaching methods
Prussia is sitting on her desk, one leg crossed over the other. She's wearing a rather girly outfit with impossibly tall boots.
The blackboard is covered in chalk drawings of little stick figures in square shapes. Some are labeled "ME!" others are labeled "Other Person". Anyone who has ever seen a drawing of a battle, should recognize it as such, though it may be difficult to place the exact battle.
If you approach her she will be quite willing to talk to you. Enthusiastic, too. She does enjoy teaching.
Start of Class
Once people have entered she will jump off the desk. You may get a peek of her panties. She will grin at the class, "Welcome to mein Awesome class! You get the rare pleasure of learning military strategy from me! So we'll start with this battle!"
She will then point to the above mentioned drawings and draw chalk lines to indicate movements and such, saying things like, "And then I did this!" or "She did this, so I did that!" Every time she tries to remember the name of one of her siblings she'll pause and then say, "Meine Schwester."
End of Class
"Homework will be an essay on why Old Fritz's awesome strategy of the Battle of Mollwitz worked!"
She really is enthusiastic about teaching. If you stay after class and ask questions or just want to chat, she will be drawing other battle diagrams.

"This is so mega stupid!"

"Which army will win?" she asked, him. She's looking at the pictures.

Kotaro didn't know why he had to go to all these strange classes either, but it was the rules and so he did as he was told.

"Hmm, well, if you want these teddy bears to win," she pointed to the good ones, "have them march around the hills and attack the side of the evil teddy bear army."

She then took another coloring utensil and drew an arrow pointing from the rear of the good army, around and to the side of the bad army. "However, if they move over here. They attack the side of the evil army and gain a little bit of an advantage. For a battle of good vs. evil, the littlest advantage for the good is always better than any advantage for the bad."

"Ja, and once a battle starts, you can attack from any angle you want, it's your opponent's fault for not being fast, enough to counter," she said.

Still, there was no trace of disapproval in his smile when he approached her at the end of class.
"Ms. Maria? Do you have a moment?"

His interest in military history was lukewarm at best, but he was a practical young man.

She is an expert fighter, too. She though thought about it, "Hmmm, not sure if there's many good books. Best books would be on martial arts. Japan and the other Asians did pretty well with close combat. Fencing might be good, too. It depends on the weapon you're trying to use, or the weapon you are."

But the sincerity was instantly gone as he furrowed his brow in a theatrical show of bemusement.
"It seems as if my weapon is a shield but I suppose I should learn others' weapons. I can hardly fight with my own, after all. Though I don't know where to start with weapons, really... I've never used any weapon at all."
A lie. Still, he was far from an expert, and it was entirely unnecessary to step out of his harmless young gentleman persona. Martial arts, hmm? It couldn't hurt to read a book or two...
no subject
"Well, shields tend to be best used in conjunction to other weapons. If your shield is strong than it might allow an otherwise unarmed person to move close enough to take out the attacker. Also, can use a shield as a bludgeoning weapon, I suppose," she shrugged at that.
"Best weapon to start with is a sword," she said. "Swords teach many things and most weapons can be split into two categories, projectile weapons, like guns and arrows or melee weapons, like swords, pikes, and staffs."
no subject
"Ah yes. I'm aware of its use as a bludgeoning tool." He could hardly forget Sherlock beating the zombie from with his soul. It may be effective, but it did seem unnecessarily crude. And it left frog guts. In his soul.
"Martial arts and swords it is, then. Thank you." In some childish and embarassing corner of his mind, the combination evoked the image of himself as some shonen hero, swashbuckling his way to glory with flashy swordsmanship and gratuitous gravity-defying kung fu, but he pushed it aside.
"If you'll forgive my curiosity, what weapon do you favour?"
no subject
She nodded in regards to his thanks and then pressed her fingers to her chin. "Well, I've used many weapons. The first weapon I used was a sword, so I'm particularly fond of them," she said, remembering running around in the area that is now Israel and Syria waving a sword as big as she was. She was so cute back then. "But as weapons improved, I grew more fond of guns. However, my favorite weapon is fighter planes."
She scratched her head, what had she been doing until the attack on Danzig? She couldn't remember.
