[The star had took them by surprise but not so much as the creature that appeared from within it. As it descended to ground, which had started rumbling Suzaku was ready to defend everyone as best he could. Dave and Gino could both fight and were Players and armed as well. Lelouch was letting the rest of the city know. Help would come soon hopefully and they could stop this thing before it left the arena.]

"Of course." Fire, water, and-- he glanced at her hand-- wind, was it? All the ancient elements, if you could count the earth under their feet. Empedocles would be proud. He raised the staff experimentally and pointed it up at the wyrm. The star shone bright behind it, and yesterday's headache stirred and reared its ugly head; he lowered the staff. Better wait until it was closer and its bulk blocked out some of the light. He'd be useless if he couldn't aim without making himself nauseous.

"Perhaps you should find shelter? I can find you if I have too much trouble with it, but this looks as if the situation may get messy. Besides, you'll be in a better position to take notes on the creature if you aren't preoccupied with survival. I'll be relying on you for that information," he said, and his smile was playful but he meant every word.

[Kotaro shook his head] I'm just a vampire! I never fought anything like this before! I never fought anything before. My big brother is the hero! If he were here he would beat up the monster so quick! And rescue everyone!

That was the safest plan. If he was using her weapon, she was more or less defenseless. So Lemina nodded sharply and started to back away out of the arena, keeping an eye on the wyrm.

"I'll be close by. That's a magical weapon, so you shouldn't need to get too close to it either. I'm going to charge you if you wind up breaking it!"

[Dave didn't really think much on how useless Shion's Weapon was, but pulled it out anyways. Had they not been in the middle of a fight, he would have freaked out again at the star showing up on Shion's Weapon.]

[He shoves the syringe into Shion's hand haphazardly and is already running to go take the monster down.]

[Merry Christmas? Luckily Shion was used to Dave saying things that he did not understand in the slightest and he was more occupied with the fact his Weapon was being drawn and there was a huge star appearing in the air.

He took the syringe when it was given to him, what kind of weapon was that? He stood frozen for a moment but Dave had told him not to die. So he set off at a run following Dave but sticking to the sidelines of the battle.]

[Dave didn't seem to have any intention of staying out of the battle. He held the two quills up, poised and ready as he dashed forward to attack the monster.

He only was slightly aware of where Shion was. He didn't want Shion to get injured in anyway, the other obviously wasn't geared for fighting and that weapon wasn't going to get him anywhere.]

[Shion was trying not to get injured, he was mostly trying not to completely panic, but he wasn't sure that was working. He seemed frozen in place only moving when the ground shook.

[Ugh. He was going to have to teach Shion some basic fighting. This is just embarrassing. For now though...

He aims two swipes at the Wyrm. He's hoping any of Jade's upgrades will kick in and do something.]

[ god there are too many people-- whoa! They are super close to the wyrm. ]

I'm going to pick you up, okay?

[ She nods, and steps back because wow ok she doesn't have a weapon!! ]

Can we make it sad?

'We're gonna have to find out now aren't we.'

[Because he has no idea what upgrades actually are going to affect the Wyrm or not.

He takes a deep breath. He glances at Jade and gives her a thumbs up. They're gonna make this happen. They're gonna do it.

He moves forward, the two needle-like quills held firmly in his hand as he attacks the Wyrm.]

[The Wyrm writhes and snaps at him, beating it's tail again sensing shockwaves out.]

[The tail came down again, thumping the ground to make it shake. The wyrm shook his head, trying to dislodge the needle that had stuck there.]

[The Wyrm is really close, the ground shakes again. Kotaro looked at Jade with big eyes and nodded, reaching out to wrap his arms round her.] You don't have to, I can run fast... [But he didn't let go, still clinging.]

[ Right before he strikes, she does what she's seen all the prefects do at some point or another -- a focus on which upgrade she wants to use, a snap to activate it. But this one has always been tricky... ]

[ She's glad that Santana has had her doing strength exercises; she lifts Kotaro with no problem and holds him close. ]

I can! [He looked around, there were lots of people fighting, most of whome he didn't recognise but...] I can see Dave! [Not Sam or Davesprite though!

[Dave was never a power house. He relied more on speed to get some good, strong hits in.

He was glad that Jade's Weapons were more familiar for him to use. He didn't know how strong the Wyrm's skin was, but he hoped to god that if he actually tried to stab it, it'll do some damage.

He jumped up only to do a flip, before crashing down on the creature, needles pointed downwards towards the large body.]

He looks busy...he's got my Weapons.

He's really brave! [Kotaro scanned the arena again.] I bet he will beat the monster to a pulp!

He'll win. We'll win too.

We will! There's lots of us and we will beat the monster good!
