Round 2

It could be a repeat of last week, Dolorosa stand on the podium looking out over the students of Fortitude, "Welcome students, I hope you have had a good week. I enjoyed watching you battle, even if we have lost the first round. Don't look down, there are many rounds to come."

If you were here last round you may notice that Nanami, Fortitude's prefect, is missing, "Before I go on and announce the winners of last round and the new Players for this round, I would like to inform you that breaking the rules is not allowed and will not be tolerated. Nanami has been punished for behavior unbecoming of a prefect, if I will punish her I will punish you as well.

"It is worth knowing that the rules are on page nine of the player handbook which you all have been given. Any one who cannot read may request a copy be sent to their PDA, an advanced PDA will read the rules to you. Please do not break the rules and give me an excuse to punish you" The peaceful smile on her face may be a bit disconcerting.

"Since we have covered that, we can now move on. While we did not win the round I would still like to congratulate you on a wonderful round. Conquest not only won more battles than us but one of their players hit the win condition. If you turn your attention to the screen behind me it will show the battles found by Fortitude."

On the screen behind her the Battle records for Fortitude and the Inter-school battles that they had fought were shown. She read the Fortitude battle records first.

She smiles kindly at the crowd, "I'm proud of you, there were very few Fortitude only battles, only one in fact, Dave vs Kotaru, congratulations Dave for winning.

"Also in fighting Conquest you all fought valiantly and I am proud of all of you. Extra notice goes to Dave for beating Feferi, Spain for defeated Golbez, Vriska for defeating Feferi, and Lelouch for defeating Homura," she claps politely and expects the others to clap as well.

"While no one in Fortitude won this round I would like to extend our congratulations to Conquest for winning and particularly Lithuania for winning the round. We should be gracious losers and fight harder next round. There is nothing to be ashamed of."

The battle records disappear. "Next I welcome our new students who joined us yesterday, you have been placed into a very kind school, so please enjoy your stay. Now I have here the list of those chosen to be Players this round, for those who have just joined us this means these students and faculty are the only persons with rights this week. The rest of you have no rights, you may be granted rights by being owned by a Player." Her smile doesn't waver, "I'm sure all of you will grant your Weapon's rights.

"To own a weapon you must vow to them, you know the vow has worked when they receive a shield mark on their hand," she held her own hand up to show to new ones what it looked like. "Players may give their Weapons permission to access the school facilities, and to eat from the full cafeteria menu among other things. If you haven't got a Player then you are a Discard, make sure you know all the rules and do exactly what Nanami tells you to, as after today she will not be punished. There is no school today but I suggest you use the time to vow to Weapons if you are a Player or find a Player if you are a Weapon. School is Monday to Friday starting 8am, I look forward to seeing you in my classroom."

Oh damn. That wasn't expected. It was actually pretty cool someone thought they were pretty rad. Well, they are. Even if he's technically wearing them to be ironic. He pulls his PDA out.

Shion was stood near Dave when the names got read out. He was relieved at not being chosen and felt sorry for Dave that he had been again.

He stood awkwardly for a while as everyone started milling around. "Are you alright?" He asked finally.

Dave runs a hand through his hair. Okay...he thinks Jade didn't get called. Wait, what's Jade's name again? He's going to assume that Jade didn't get called. The other names didn't look like hers. But he didn't know what her name was so this was a stupid thought.

He gives a nonchalant shrug. He'll just go with it. He's honestly kind of annoyed though. He could deal with being a Weapon.

Shion is silent for a moment and then shrugs, "I guess even though they force you to fight, you can do more good this way." He smiles in a reassuring way.

He lets out a silent sigh and pulls his PDA out.

[ Sora's not really sure what to think. This is like that game Yuki told her about, the one she's apparently forgotten or should know about. A game where you fight? It doesn't sound that bad, really... oh oh isn't that HER NEW FRIEND AND ROOMMATE being called.

Frankly, Vriska was disappointed when she doesn't hear her name called again. Though it did feel great to have the recognition that she took Feferi down, it flickered a little to hear Dave had beaten her too. Well, whatever. This wasn't the time to will about it. She needed a Player, because she absolutely would not be useless in a round. Her only problem was that she really hadn't bothered getting to know anyone in the past week.

Her eyes combed over the room before landing on a familiar face. Ugh, she doesn't want to deal with Terezi's human but if she's being honest with herself, he's a good bet for winning matches. And that's all she cares about. She stands and makes her way over to him.

"Hey, Strider. Vow with me."

Oh damn. It's the spider bitch again. Okay, honestly he has no big problems with Vriska. She was smarter then most of the other trolls she's met, and she seemed to have some fight in her at the very least. Which means she'd probably be willing to fight with him.

What the fuck is she anyways? Hell if he knows. But hey, he'll say yes. Why not. She can be sassy and he can promptly ignore all her sass.

Some fight was an understatement. She smirked, cocking her head to the side as she glanced over the text. There was something alluring about stepping in on Terezi's human, and she suspected it would be much of the driving force behind dealing with him. Because really, Dave was just a pain in the ass as far as she was concerned. But if Terezi ever showed up, she really wanted something to lord over her. Because she really wanted to sucker punch her where it hurts, even if she can't remember why.

Still, it really didn't sit well with her being someone else's property. She could handle it though, with all the disgust of a highblood serving a lowblood, anyway. She shifted her weight slightly, wings fluttering as she did so.

"Embarrassed is a good look for you anyway. So are you going to check out my weapon or what? It's actually pretty stupid of you to vow without knowing what I am."

Fuck your sass, Serket. He already thinks this is a dumb idea. He doesn't care about all this bullshit. If she wanted to fight, then she had to have a good enough weapon to be a willing participant. He just thought he'd be nice and let her have her rights since it's a douche move to deny it.

He huffed a bit, digging out his exaclan glove from his pocket and pulling it on. Fine. He'll check it out. If she's something he'd actually like to use, this will be easier.

[ She seems considerably happier now; she's found someone to vow with, there's a piece of paper in her hand that says she can eat whatever she wants (whatever she wants 0u0) and she has new clothes and best of all, shoes. That she doesn't recognize Dave when she passes is mostly because she can't remember what he looks like.

If he's observant, he'll notice that her eyes are red from crying. But at least she's smiling now! ]

[Fuck. Fuck. That's Jade. There she is. He's been looking for her like the entire time. An-oh damn it. This is getting old really fast. Jade not remembering what they look like is painfully annoying.

He pulls his PDA out to type out his message about vowing with him before trailing after her quickly. It also said sorry (he's saying this a lot more then he's used to) because she was probably terrified and upset. And he was an ass who didn't look for her hard enough.

There's a clatter though. As soon as Dave tries to grab her wrist, he feels a sharp pain and he drops everything to clutch his head. Shit...that was a penalty. But she was from Fortitude and...oh. Oh.]

[ There's a searing pain in her head and her body can't handle it; she falls to the floor, tears welling up in her eyes. What was that? Even though the initial pain is gone, her forehead still throbs, and tears drip onto the floor without her recognition. ]

[It takes Dave a moment to let the pain subside a bit before kneeling down in front of Jade. He keeps his distance this time. He wanted to make sure she was okay but he couldn't even touch her. This was all fucked up. He idly just shoves the PDA back into his pocket.

No use asking her. She didn't need to know he was hoping to catch her so she didn't have to deal with fighting or anything.]

[ There is what should be a familiar face standing near Dave, straining to see over the taller people, and failing. He missed... pretty much the whole announcement, and no one can sign to translate it for him and he found a notebook that's probably supposed to be used for school, but even so, he doesn't want to just ask anybody to tell him what's going on because some people might get annoyed by that and-- *GASP*

...basically he's confused, a little frustrated, and in need of some assistance.

He hesitates though. He has to keep doing this everytime he recognizes someone. Mostly because, what the fuck is John's name and why can't he ever remember it?

He finally approaches John though since the other didn't look like he understood what was going on. It's actually quite funny. Watching Dave try to point to Dolorosa and trying to ask 'Do you need help?' in just gestures (who the fuck knew ASL?). It's an endeavor he pretty much gives up on a few seconds into realizing he looked like a completely idiot and pulled his PDA out to type into it. Fuck it, if John got annoyed that he was mute...well...he'll figure out how he feels about it later.]

[ John is not expecting to see Dave. And yet there Dave is! He gapes for a moment, totally not even trying to figure out what's going on with the pointing, and-- holds back from his initial urge, which is to hug, because Dave is a coolkid. John can be cool, too.

He is a bit thrown off by how Dave doesn't try to speak, though. There's just pointing and then pulling out a PDA. John's forgotten some things, probably some important things, maybe Dave forgot how to talk? Or... Dave was the Time Guy. Maybe he's from John's future and knows John can't hear?

He'll just... stand here awkwardly for a moment and wait for Dave to finish typing... ]
